About Susan
Susan Hansen, Creative Director - Marketing Communications
Susan is an inventive communicator who spent the first 20 years of her career creating advertising concepts, graphics, copy, and producing tv and radio as part of award-winning ad agency teams in Milwaukee, Sheboygan and Madison. Degreed in Journalism from the Univeristy of Wisconsin, she found purpose working for healthcare clients such as GE Medical, Philips Design, and Amersham Life Science; as well as winning advertising awards for Oscar Mayer, Mercury Marine, CUNA Mutual, Dreyer HMO and United Way.
Life experience and observation built deep interests in nature, art, human/environment interaction, and culturally rich places. For an act two, she left the agency life to follow these passions through landscape architecture. She revels in collaboration -- helping shape and communicate new concepts that inspire, inform or change minds, to create a healthier and more sustainable planet.
You will see bold shapes, integrated words and engaging headlines, touches of whimsy or the unexpected, and a love of nature throughout her work.
